It seems the artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear and Off-White founder Virgil Abloh has caused somewhat of a stir recently after taking to his Instagram story and hinting at a possible collab with none other than Liverpool FC.
“He said it. I didn’t even think about it. Liverpool FC, let’s move up the table together.” were words echoed by Virgil Abloh on his story in response to a fan. The reply came after Abloh shared a photo of a new Louis Vuitton polo from the brand's 21/22 winter collection and an enthusiast simply responded "Liverpool's next home shirt".
While the idea of a Virgil Abloh designed Reds kit does sound appealing, Nike only recently unveiled the 2021/2022 home kit meaning it would be around a year until the next is possible. However, there's always the chance an away kit or a third or fourth edition kit could be more of a realistic possibility.
The football world isn't a new thing to Virgil as he previously dropped the Off-White x Nike Football collection to celebrate the 2018 Fifa world cup, so we look forward to seeing what he can come up with next. In other news, level up your looks with this Sony Playstation 5 x Balenciaga collab.
