To celebrate the new Salomon drop at JD Sports, we put on our XT-6s and our XT-Whispers and headed up to West Yorkshire to get away from the city, touch some grass and finally give our Salomons a purpose. 

JD Sports and Salomon have teamed up for a new release of the XT-Whisper in three different colourways as well as some new iterations of the XT-6 and got a bunch of the JD community girlies for a little retreat up north. We touched down at the Denton Reserve in Ilkley, Yorkshire for a trip filled with fresh air, good vibes and only the best local food. 

On our first day, we kept it chill. A lot of good food (most of which is locally grown on the Denton land), drinks flowing, the cutest charm-making workshop (in which some of us failed miserably, and by some of us I mean myself) hosted by Shop Nots, a Manchester-based brand that handcrafts bags and accessories out of climbing rope, and a good DJ sesh to end the evening – good thing we were in the middle of nowhere because we reached high decibels with our house tunes.

The second day was more on the wholesome side – waking up with a view of deer outside your window really gets you going – we kicked the day off with a sauna session overlooking the lake and then got our balance tested in a yoga class. After our cute little yoga class, it was time to hit the mud. We put our Salomons to good use and proceeded to a short hike around the Denton premises, serving Gorpcore fits and trailing through the muddy terrains of the Ilkley Moors to get a closer look at the deer.

Our countryside escape was short and sweet, catching a breath of fresh, clean air before getting back to our polluted London ends.
