Japanese label Junya Watanabe MAN continues its ongoing collaborative partnership with New Balance, unveiling three new silhouettes. The COMP100, 670 and the ML574 are all reworked to showcase the designer’s signature style, creating an instantly-recognizable luxury look.
Watanabe graduated fashion college in Tokyo in 1984 and went straight to work for Rei Kawakubo, the powerful woman behind COMME des GARÇONS, where he eventually became her protégé. Since then, Junya has launched his own label under the CDG mother label and has also successfully collaborated with the likes of Levi’s and The North Face.
Each silhouette from the capsule hosts a totally different design. The COMP100 is decked out in navy, grey and red colour blocking with the label’s signature JWCdG logo printed on the heel, the ML574 adopts a slick white colourway accented with a gum-rubber sole, while finally the 670 remains tonal throughout with blood-red accents to break up the look.
If you’re a fan of Junya Watanabe MAN x New Balance SS20 collection, the good news is that all three renditions are available now via select retailers, so secure your favourite pair now before it’s too late.
