Kanye West's infamous Yeezy Foam Runner has been on our radar for quite some time now. First unveiled at around this time last year when North West was spotted rocking a pair, sneakerheads everywhere have been wondering when or if they'll ever drop. Well, it looks like the man himself has confirmed that they'll finally be releasing this month!
As part of i-D‘s "The Faith in Chaos" Summer 2020 issue, Ye sat down with Pharrell Williams to talk about a wide range of topics. From stories about Michael Jackson to Skateboard P's fashion influences, West also unveiled a few more details about the Foam Runner.
Known for its unique shape and structure, the top of the clog is peppered with perforations for the ultimate breathing experience. Down below, a Yeezy 700-inspired midsole is present, and of course, you can't talk about the Foam Runner without mentioning its innovative algae construction that's both sustainable and environmentally friendly.
"We’re sitting here in Wyoming figuring out how to do manufacturing during , explained West. "The Foam Runners we're coming out with in June are our first American manufactured items and we gotta figure out how to do localized manufacturing."
While Kanye didn't mention a specific day, this confirms that the long-awaited adidas Yeezy Foam Runner will be launching before the end of the month.
