With the release of his next album just around the corner, Kanye West sat down with Zane Lowe to discuss all things Yeezus and Jesus. Of course, you can't talk to Ye without mentioning his insanely hyped collaboration with adidas, and while they were on that topic, he made a point about bringing his apparel and footwear production to the States.
"For me, as a founder, it’s really important to bring these jobs back to America." he explained during his Beats 1 interview. This is something that President Donald Trump has been a massive advocate for, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Kanye has the same opinions. He feels that bringing these opportunities home will allow for rapid prototyping, resulting in an increase in employment opportunities through prison reform systems.
Something that Kanye aims to implement within the next two years, this move could come with a massive increase in Yeezy prices. To put this into perspective, New Balance's 'Made in China' shoes sell for around £50, while their cheapest 'Made in US' sneaker retails from £150. This means that the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 could end up being £100 more expensive, but only time will tell.
