Updated 21/6/23: KITH’s upcoming collaboration with ASICS has finally been given a release date. Compromising of two silhouettes - the GEL-Kayano 14 and 1130 - the “Vintage Tech 2023” pack sees both styles drop in two different colourways. Having been teased back in April, KITH has finally confirmed that the collab is set to drop on the 23rd of June, hitting all KITH stores as well as its webstore. Let us know if you’ll be going for a pair, and check out the article below for the original story.
Original article: ASICS’ retro runner styles are quickly shaping up to be some of this year’s must-have silhouettes, even more so now that KITH looks to be getting involved. Hot off the back of its incredibly successful JJJJound collab and NAKED Cph collabs, the Japanese brand has leant its GEL-Kayano 14 and GEL-1130 models to Ronnie Fieg’s label, giving fans four super-clean minimalist options to choose from.
Both pairs have been previewed in two colour combinations - the GEL-Kayano in “Cream/Scarab” and “Cream/Antler”, and the GEL-1130 in “Cream Scarab” and “Cream/Starlight Blue”. The latter style was previewed via Instagram by KITH Tokyo director Junya Matano while on a brand friends & family trip.
The rumoured upcoming KITH x ASICS runner styles haven’t even been confirmed by either brand yet, but there’s speculation that if a release does go ahead, the pairs could drop as early as May. If these styles are on your radar then be sure to stay locked to The Sole Supplier, as we’ll be the first to let you know as soon as we hear more!
Up next, KITH may have more Sambas on the way.
