This year to celebrate Levi's 501 day we take a trip to the archives to dig out a classic! This special edition release is based on the 1955 version of the 501 jean and are made in Japan from the finest Japanese selvedge denim.

For the uninitiated Japanese selvedge is considered some of the best denim available in the world due to the unique way in which its produced. Often woven on old shuttle looms, the use of premium materials alongside natural indigo tints delivers both unique shades and textures making these jeans highly sought after.

These 1955 jeans feature a looser fit with a wider leg, perfect for pairing with baggy uppers and a variety of sneakers. As well as this, these jeans arrive with a boxy fit, a button-up fly and a Japanese take on Levi's signature red tab and brand patch.
With the 501 being one of the most sold jeans in Japan, it's no wonder why Levi's would celebrate this signature 501 by paying tribute to the country. This signature Levi's Vintage 1955 Japan 501 is set to arrive on May 20th and will be limited to 501 units worldwide. This isn't going to be an easy cop by any means, so if you do happen to be of the lucky few let us know! In other news, here's your best look yet at the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 "Baroque Brown".
