With just under a month until the turn of the Lunar New Year, Maharishi is continuing its tradition and readying its latest selection of celebratory goods. This time around, the London-based streetwear imprint looks to celebrate the fourth animal in the Chinese zodiac with this Year of the Rabbit capsule collection.
Said to be the luckiest of the twelve creatures in the Chinese zodiac, the rabbit symbolises elegance, mercy and beauty, with those born during the year offering calm and peaceful qualities. In true Maharishi fashion, the collection itself features a range of graphic T-Shirts, relaxed Snopants, stadium jackets and shirts. Naturally, a number of the pieces, including the jacket and pants, feature intricately embroidered designs, a staple in Maharishi's design ethos.
While the collection features no clear-cut lead, a range of paper-cut and woodblock designs have been put together by guest artist Allister Lee, accompanying other compositions by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi. For those looking to get their hands on the Maharishi Year of the Rabbit collection, it is currently available to purchase on the brand's website. In other fashion news, The North Face Purple Label readies its pastel-packed SS23 collection.
