Earlier this year, a major shift in Formula 1® sponsorships occurred when Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS ended its partnership with PUMA and signed a multi year deal with adidas. Now, as the 2025 season approaches, adidas has unveiled its debut Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS collection. This collection offers fans an exciting array of footwear, apparel, and accessories.
The collection showcases official team gear, supporter apparel, bags, and footwear; designed to reflect the innovation and precision synonymous with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS. Key highlights include Formula 1 themed Superstars, the SL 72, Barricade sneakers, and slides, all tailored to celebrate the team’s legacy both on and off the track.
Among the standout pieces is the SL 72, a retro inspired running shoe featuring bold colour accents across its suede and nylon upper. Silver Mercedes-AMG branding adorns the moustache, while co-branding graces the insole; a subtle nod to the partnership. The Barricade Decode, another featured model, comes in black and white colourways with Tiffany Green detailing on the stripes, moustache, and tongue tag, offering a fresh take on adidas’ T toe design.
For motorsport enthusiasts, the Feroza, a dedicated racing shoe, is available in two iterations. Each features a bold black, green, and white palette, though a price difference hints at variations in technology. Rounding out the footwear lineup are the minimalist Lightblaze sneaker in white and the Tiffany Blue Adilette Comfort slides; perfect for casual, everyday wear.
The apparel collection is equally impressive, featuring authentic team jerseys, polos, T shirts, hoodies, shorts, hats, and more. Each piece is designed with both performance and style in mind, allowing fans to represent their favourite team on the streets or in the stands at races.
“This collection represents the hard work and dedication of our teams to create products that not only support the performance of the team but also allow fans to showcase their pride wherever they are,” said Bianca Mast, adidas Product Lead, in a statement.
This collaboration marks the beginning of what promises to be a dynamic partnership between adidas and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS. adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden has hinted at future releases, emphasising innovative products inspired by the team's storied racing heritage.
