Mr Lee x Nike Celebrate Chinese New Year With This Collaborative Release

Proceeding Mr Lee's Hero's Journey NFT exhibition at NikeTown last year, the London-based British-born Chinese designer is back and ready to celebrate his cultural heritage with these latest collaborative works. Mr Lee x Nike have joined forces once again to produce a range of limited edition hoodies ready to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Tiger.

For those unaware of Mr Lee's work, it's often been described as an extension of his own experiences. Traditional Chinese iconography combined with pop culture motifs and London's cityscape shape Mr Lee's work into a unique blend of stylised and illustrative artworks.

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, this latest hoodie features a striking Year of the Tiger motif set across the Chinese symbol of '福' meaning fortune. Shades of orange, red and gold work in unison to create a vivid embroidered design that sits in contrast to the deep black base tone of the hoodie.

These pieces are limited to just 50 units and will be available exclusively to Nike members on the Nike app tomorrow (1/2/22) for the Chinese New Year. In addition, over the Chinese New Year weekend (5th & 6th of Feb), Mr Lee will be drawing live on a custom-built canvas wall in NikeTown London. The piece will echo themes of strength, courage, confidence and protection and will also be open to view by the public for its duration.
