To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, NASA has teamed up with PUMA to launch the 'Space Explorer' Pack. Comprising of two iconic silhouettes, the space agency has definitely selected two of the most fitting models for this collection.
Painted in NASA's signature palette of red, blue, and white, the RS-9.8 is inspired by the speed of gravitational acceleration near the Earth's surface. Shimmering silver leather panels stretch out across the upper, resembling a space suit, and mesh elements provide wearers with a fit that's out of this world.
The CELL Alien, on the other hand, features a much darker makeup. Paying homage to deep space, holographic details give the shoe a galaxy-like aesthetic, and clean white specks are peppered throughout the stealthy black sole, representing stars in the cosmos. Both models boast NASA x PUMA co-branding, completing the other-worldly looks.
The NASA x PUMA 'Space Explorer' Pack is scheduled to blast off on July 20th in conjunction with Apollo 11's anniversary. Let us know which pair you'll be copping, and while you're here, why not check out PUMA's full sneaker range?
