After releasing a selection of wardrobe staples with HIDDEN.NY in April, Nepenthes undergrad Needles is back and ready to set its sights back on its mainline offerings. For SS23, Needles has gone back to the drawing board and produced a fresh range of silhouettes while utilising both new and old motifs.
Similar to many of its previous collections, these latest offerings from Needles boast a distinctly '70s vibe about them, with familiar motifs such as butterfly prints, baggy track pants and chunky footwear all found in abundance. In addition to these pieces, we also see a range of blazers, western shirts, track gear and more, each boasting a variety of prints and loud hues.
With a group so eclectic, there is no clear-cut leader of the pack. However, certain additions, such as the embroidered satin bomber jacket complete with an array of patches, catch our eye. Elsewhere, pastel colour-blocked shirts offer a distinctive retro feel without compromising on style.
As it stands, the Needles Japan Spring/Summer collection has no clear-cut release date, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled next year for all the drops! In other fashion news, Dickies x Vincent Alvarez fly high with this skateboarding-based collab.
