Following the launch of a new YEEZY x GAP hoodie yesterday, it seems like it's going to be all on eyes on Kanye this week as Netflix drop the trailer for the new documentary 'jeen-yuhs'.
The clip opens with the words "New York 2002" as we see a young Kanye West and legendary rapper Mos Def in a dimly lit room. Upon the cameraman's request Mos Def begins spitting his verse from "Two Words", a song featured on Kanye's first album The College Dropout. Proceeding Mos Def's verse, Ye jumps in with his own verse as ambient pad-styled music swells and rises in the background. Following the verse, the screen turns black and we see the words "jeen-yuhs" in white text.
The documentary itself is said to have been bought for $30 million USD and has been co-directed by Coodie Simmons and Chike Ozah, two friends that have been part of Kanye West's close circle for many years. Because of the Trio's close-knit friendship, years of behind the scenes footage has been captured and will be showcased through this 3 part documentary. It's unclear just when this project is set to release but we're expected to see it sometime in 2022. Check out the trailer below and get hyped! In related news, the Yeezy Knit Runner is basically a winterised Foam Runner.
