August is usually a slow month, people are on holiday, brands are gearing up for the new season, so it’s usually quite quiet, but not this year. This week alone we’re getting releases dropping left, right and centre. From new releases by Nike, New Balance and Mizuno to an exciting upcoming collab between Jennie and adidas, here’s what’s on our radar this week.
Three Stripes is cooking up something very exciting. The brand just teased a new collaboration with Blackpink’s Jennie on its IG. The teaser reel shows Jennie making some contemporary dance moves, dripped out in Three Stripes with a light blue track jacket, black shorts and dance socks. It’s safe to assume this will be an apparel linkup, but wondering if there’s any shoes on the horizon. The collection is out September 1st.

NYC-born artist Aya Brown is making her Nike debut with this Air Max 95, bringing the energy that defines her work. Her art (and the shoe) celebrates black and queer womanhood. Brown reimagines her favourite childhood silhouette with genuine leather in Atomic Green and Black with visible University Red cushioning and a no-lace lacing system.
New Balance
After releasing in a yellow snake print last month, New Balance’s Wallabee-like hybrid sneaker is back in a cow print pattern. As more hybridised silhouettes keep coming out, we can bet this crossover between a moccasin and a runner silhouette will be everywhere this season.

After teasing its new collection, Supreme has finally revealed its seasonal lookbook. The streetwear label brings standout jackets (such as this Jeff Hamilton one pictured here) as well as graphic knitwear and tees, printed trousers, as well as homeware and accessories including a sofa, a cordless Dyson, a chrome scooter with a red leather seat, and a new Nike Air Max 2001.
London-based streetwear brand Extnded Family is doing things for its extended family. The brand’s hosting a pop-up in London this weekend, featuring exciting bits for everyone – including freebies, new pieces, tee customisation, a live set by Tay Jordan, and more sounds and activities for the community. Drop by the pop-up at Dray Walk Gallery, London, E1 6QL on Saturday 22nd August from 4-8pm.
