CLOT's latest collaboration with Nike has been turning some heads within the sneaker scene, namely because it's actually three shoes in one. Based on the Cortez, the shoe features a design that allows the wearer to change the pair from a house shoe to a fully-functional outdoor sneaker, thanks to wearable removable shrouds and outsoles.
Having already dropped in a paired-back black-and-white version, the two upcoming styles take cues from two icons, which both have connections to the silver screen.
In a slightly louder fashion than the black and white yin-yang inspired pair before it, the upcoming CLOTEZ is reportedly inspired by the jumpsuit worn by Bruce Lee in Game of Death. Here, the house shoe base arrives in bright yellow, while the shroud adds a practical touch in black. Swoosh motifs hit both parts of the shoe in their reverse colourways, while kung-fu branding and yin-yang-detailed toggles hit the heels.
The final pair to join the line-up pays tribute to a slightly different kind of icon. Taking things back to basics, Nike and CLOT revisit the Cortez's original colourway for this release, with shades of blue, red and white hitting their usual spots on the sneaker. This colourway became known for its prominence within the film Forrest Gump - a fact that loosely connects the two pairs.
