In honour of the upcoming Black History Month, both Nike and Converse have revealed official images of a Nike Air Force 1 “BHM”, a Nike Air Max 95 “BHM” and Converse Chuck 70s and Pro Leather “BHM” designs. Each and every silhouette comes in bold colourways and pays its respects to the historic occasion in a different way.
First up is the Nike AF1 “BHM”. It comes complete with a unique lace-up fastening a brightly coloured accents that represent the diversity of African diaspora and the design of traditional African fabrics. A metallic appliqué can be found on the toe box and the midsole of the original design is featured because, well, you can’t improve on perfection.
Next is the Nike Air Max 95, which comes in a multitude of fabrics in vibrant colours and patterns. The midsole is fitted with Nike’s exclusive Air pocket that cushions the foot in all the right places and the tongue is finished off with “BHM” embroidery. Finally, the Converse Chuck 70 and Converse Pro Leather both come in hushed tonal hues – with pops of colour here and there. The toe is reinforced, and the tread is textured to deliver on grip. Similarly to the Nike silhouettes, the Converse are finished with Black History Month logo detailing to the tongue.
Although it’s not been revealed yet how much these silhouettes will set you back, the Nike and Converse Black History Month collection is a certified must cop. Keep it locked into The Sole Supplier to be the first to know about this release and more breaking news.
