We already know that the Oregon-based brand takes top spot when it comes to innovation, but the release of the Nike GO FlyEase is one that took us by surprise.
From superstar athletes to busy gals with zero time for laces, Nike aim to cater towards all kind of active lifestyles with this new and accessible hands-free shoe. It comes complete with a first-of-its-kind Nike GO FlyEase tensioner which wraps around the entire shoe from the toe to the heel, to maintain tension throughout the shoe.
Another piece of fancy tech giving the shoe its hands-free capability is the bi-stable hinge, sitting in the midsole to connect it together when the shoe’s in both its open and closed states. Simply pop in your feet, and the shoe will switch into a locked position – clever work, Nike!
You’ll find all the best-in-class fabrics expected in a Nike shoe – including the Regrind-ready and recyclable material on its outsole. However, if this light, bright colour combo isn’t your vibe, these super-cool sneakers are also launching in a Dark Turquoise and Racer Black Blue colourway.
They sport a pretty interesting backstory, too. American Paralympic triathlete Sarah Reinertsen helped Nike’s Tobie Hatfield design the shoe; a design which also held inspiration from Matthew Walzer who wrote to the brand in 2012 about his inability to tie shoe laces due to Cerebral Palsy.
A shoe now delivering this accessibility to the masses, we guarantee the Nike Go FlyEase White Yellow Blue Red will be a super quick sell-out, so hit the bell icon above for your best chances of getting your pair. While you’re here, you may as well Cop A Steal: The Top 10 Sneakers In The Nike Sale.
