Nike Blazer Sizing: How Do They Fit?

From the court to the streets, the Nike Blazer has become one of the most recognisable silhouettes within Nike's arsenal. After making its debut as Nike's third shoe in 1973, the Blazer has become a firm favourite amongst sneakerheads, skaters and basketball players alike thanks to its versatile approach to both comfort and styling.

Available in low and mid renditions, with hundreds of colourways and collaborations available, the Nike Blazer is a silhouette worthy of even the most hardcore sneakerheads' rotation. Generally speaking, the Nike Blazer will fit true to size with both the men's and women's versions following this rule. However, there are a few things to note. For instance, given the narrow shape of the silhouette, this shoe might not be as comfortable for people with wider feet, so take that into consideration before purchasing.

In addition, I'm sure we're all aware by now how annoying high tops can be to get on and off if you have larger feet. To combat this, it might be worth going half a size up or so.

Like any shoe, a decent break-in process will be required to see its full comfort potential, but once finished, the Nike Blazer will do the job adequately. It won't provide the same amount of comfort in comparison to your usual Air Max sneaker, but it will be enough for day-to-day wear.

The Blazer is also often favoured amongst gym-goers because of its flat sole, making it suitable for weightlifting exercises such as squats, deadlifts and lunges.

Famously, Deadpool desperado Ryan Reynolds was spotted wearing his ultra-rare Off-White x Nike Blazer in 2019, sparking tabloid coverage about the shoe. Simply pairing the shoe with some sandy chinos and a blue gillet/hoodie combo, this fit proved sometimes you can let your shoes do the talking. The only downside is that if you're trying to copy Ryan's style, you might have to crack open your piggy bank, as the pair sells for over £1,000 currently.

It's hard to argue that the Off-White x Nike Blazer additions don't deserve their place on the list, but there are a few pairs that shouldn't be forgotten about either. Take the Parra x Nike Blazer "Low White," for instance. Pairing crisp white hues with the classic Piet Parra pop art style, these sneakers were an instant hit after their summer 2019 release.
