To mark 75 years of the NBA, Nike has joined forces with the association to launch a whole collaborative capsule of sneakers. The duo have long since been partners, working on plenty of projects together over the years, so it only made sense for Nike to chime in for the celebrations. The pack will consist of an Air Force 1 and two renditions of the Blazer, as well as the potential launch of a Dunk Low that was previewed earlier in the year.
First up is the Air Force 1 “Fiesta”, crafted from premium leather and based on the design of the 1996 All Star uniforms, which are often referred to as the most unique basketball jerseys of all time. Teal and Yellow Swooshes are located on each sneaker along with premium features like diamond embroidery on the tongues and lace dubraes. The look is completed with multi-Swooshes on the heel tabs.
Next up comes the first variant of the Blazer, that references the Portland Trailblazers and their iconic black, white and red colour scheme. This time around the NBA logo itself is placed on the heel along with several counts of 75th anniversary branding. Finally, the Blazer “New York Knicks” showcases classic colour-blocking that’s instantly reminiscent of the legendary team.
If you’re looking to cop any of the sneakers from the upcoming NBA x Nike 75th Anniversary pack, then you’ll have to sit tight a little longer just yet, as no official release dates have been unveiled.
