Without a shadow of a doubt, the biggest sneaker brands in the world are taking heavy inspiration from '90s era designs. Just in the past week, adidas has revived the ZX 4000 OG, and delved into its archives for the TRESC RUN. Now, it looks like the Swoosh is doing the same with the completely modernised Air Force Max.
First making its debut in 1993, the bulky model was a cult classic. Designed for today's rigorous, fast paced game, 2018's version of the Air Force Max features a more prominent Air unit, a sloped down shape centred around a reinforced ankle collar for more support, and a shimmering plastic heel cup for stability.
A midfoot strap also makes an appearance, offering wearers with the ultimate lock down fit, and a colourful abstract upper continues to harken back to its retro-inspired origins.
Pretty much nothing else is known about the brand new Nike Air Force Max, however, it could be dropping around Air Max Day 2019, so be sure to keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! In related news, here's your first look at the Nike Presto React!
