Nike SNKRS Day 2023: Everything You Need To Know

Good news for Swoosh fans - Nike’s annual SNKRS Day is back for 2023, and we have no doubt it’ll be better than ever. SNKRS Day is one of the most anticipated events on the footwear calendar, celebrating all things sneakers and the Swoosh community. Whether this is your first-ever exposure to the event, or you’ve been eagerly waiting for it since the last one, here’s everything you should know about Nike SNKRS Day 2023.

Nike SNKRS Day is an annual event that celebrates the sneaker community. Each year, the Swoosh will roll out a load of digital (in-app) and physical activations, allowing sneakerheads to immerse themselves in everything related to footwear and sneaker culture. Previous years have seen SNKRS Live panel talks, scavenger hunts, and even IRL events. Of course, these aren’t the only selling points, as SNKRS Day also tends to offer up a chance at copping some high-heat Nike’s for retail, from one-off restocks for previous products, to SNKRS Day-exclusive releases.

While previous SNKRS Day events have usually happened in August, this year’s celebrations will take place on the 9th of September. With an extra month of planning for the Nike team, does this mean SNKRS Day 2023 could be bigger than ever?

As well as plenty of in-app launches and activities, the Nike SNKRS Day will also include an IRL event that takes place in London on the 9th of September. The Swoosh has plenty of fun activities planned for the day, including workshops, panel talks and games, so be sure to check out the full set of event details, and sign-up here.

Though previous events have been limited to Europe, the 2023 Nike SNKRS Day celebrations are going global. This means that anyone with the SNKRS App downloaded will be able to take part and feel connected, no matter where they are.

Taking part in Nike SNKRS Day couldn’t be easier - all you need is Nike’s SNKRS app. As the day goes on, keep the app open and keep checking each tab, as any releases, live broadcasts and scavenger hunts will pop up across the app throughout the day.

Rumour has it that the more active you are on the Nike SNKRS App, the luckier you get when it comes to drops, so if you want to take SNKRS Day seriously, you'll want stay as engaged as possible!

It's that time of the year, folks - Nike is finally starting to announce its SNKRS Day releases. Last year’s pairs included the Air Jordan 1 "Taxi", Air Jordan 4 "Canyon Purple", the Air Force 1 Low "SNKRS Day 5th Anniversary" and the Air Max 1 "Tour Yellow", but we can confirm that this year's releases are some of the best yet.

Kicking things off this year, we have the Air Jordan 1 Low "Shashiko" - an embroidered take on the classic model that embraces the Japanese philosophy of "Wabi Sabi". We can also reveal that the Nike Air Footscape Woven will be making its comeback in a cow print colourway, and the Nike TN Air Max Plus "Pure Platinum" is also set to drop as part of the celebrations. These will all be joined by the Air Max 1 "World Make Korea", because it really a Nike celebration without the one? Finally, these will all be joined by the Nike Dunk Low "Midnight Navy/White", which keeps things simple with a two-tone upper, and "Sail"-coloured sole unit.
