Since it was first introduced back in March 2016, sneakerheads everywhere have been (im)patiently waiting for the release of the Nike HyperAdapt 2.0, and that day has finally arrived. Expected to be unveiled TODAY, the innovative shoe will take the shape of a basketball sneaker and will, of course, be self-lacing.
While Nike hasn't shown what the silhouette will actually look like, they have provided us with players' first reactions of the sneaker upon trying them on. We see the likes of Jayson Tatum, Kyle Kuzma, Luka Dončić and De'Aaron Fox, among other Swoosh athletes, in awe of the futuristic, auto-lacing model.
Additionally, it's also safe to assume that the HypeAdapt 2.0 will be considerably cheaper than its predecessor. This was unveiled back in July by Mark Parker during the company's quarterly earnings meeting for Q2 of 2019.
