Nike has been going all out with its Dunk Low releases lately, and it doesn't look like they will be running out of ideas anytime soon. The sky's the limit when it comes to collaborations and influences, but for one of their next colourways they'll be looking to the past for inspiration as they have intentionally applied a pre-aged midsole underfoot.
Seen here on the Dunk Low "Navy", the top half of the shoe features a crisp "Midnight Navy" and white colour scheme painted on top of a smooth leather base. The bottom half, on the other hand, has been yellowed for a vintage vibe that makes it look like the sneaker has been around for decades just waiting to be worn.
Of course, this isn't the first time that the Beaverton brand have applied this oxidation to the soles of their Dunks. If you can remember, pairs like the "Reverse Curry" and the "Ultraman" all featured this unique look. Even the latest "Acid Wash" Pack made use of this antique aesthetic.
The Nike Dunk Low "Navy" is set to drop soon alongside a slew of other colourways, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! Let us know what you think of this trend, and in related news, autumnal vibes feature on the Nike Dunk Low "Reverse Mesa Orange"!
