Theres absolutely no doubt that sock like sneakers are a massive hit this year. With adidas leading the charge with the NMD City Sock and the aptly named Ultra Boost Laceless, now Nike wants a piece of the pie.
The NikeLab Gakou Flyknit seems to be heavily inspired by adidas famed Ultra Boost silhouette, complete with a minimalist midsole and a heel cup for added support. Set to drop in a duo of simple tonal black and white colourways, the squeaky clean sneaks feature a Flyknit upper accented by a simple suede heel detail, and a NIKE logo emblazoned heel tab.
Like many other Nike models, the Gakou Flyknit sits atop a lightweight and flexible Phylon sole unit, providing wearers with extra comfort. The bottom of this sole features a series of subtle grooves for added grip, and a large Swoosh logo is present smack bang in the middle.
Hitting shelves on August 24th, the NikeLab Gakou Flyknit will be available to buy from select retailers such as Foot Patrol, so be sure to cop if youre looking to rock a pair of laceless kicks!
