The Next Nike Space Hippie Collection Prepares for Lift Off
Following on from a huge launch late last month, Nike is gearing up to release a second-wave of colorways of the massively-popular Space Hippie collection. Crafted from recycled “Space Waste Yarn”, the pairs are marketed as the most sustainable Nike shoes ever, and were even sent in a singular cardboard box in order to reduce waste.
The Space Hippie 01, 02 and 03 are all treated to a clean-looking “Volt” colourway, that was previewed on the EU-exclusive Space Hippie 04 on the last release. Combining a neutral grey palette with green volt hits, these are looking set to be a hot launch.
Two mid-top silhouettes kick things off in the form of the 01 and 02. The 01 showcases a neat lacing system with pull tabs at the front and rear, while the 02 opts for a more streamlined sock-like design that’s totally absent of laces. Both sit upon the same sole units that are crafted from “Crater Foam”, made from recycled ZoomX technology and NikeGrind rubber.
Finally, as the most eye-catching model in the pack, the 03 takes on a high-top design that oozes utilitarian vibes. The FlyEase technology gives them a suitably space-age look, with pops of yellow and baby-blue building on the already strong colorway further.
