November 1989 marks the official fall of the Berlin Wall, and to celebrate this milestone in human history, Overkill has tapped adidas for the ZX8000 'No Walls Needed' Pack. Comprising of two sneakers, each shoe features mismatched sides that symbolise the unity of the East and the West.
The first shoe features Gucci-inspired tones on one side, while the other side is accented with neon hues that are sure to turn heads. The second pair on the other hand is a little more understated, playing with blue and black shades that complement each other perfectly. A unique symbol is debossed onto the heel of each sneaker, representing the collection's four guiding principles of equality, individuality, freedom and unity.
That's not all though, as if you buy the pack from Overkill's Berlin flagship, you'll also receive €100 "welcome money". This is inspired by the gift that was given by the German government to visitors from the German Democratic Republic after the destruction of the Wall thirty years ago.
Arguably one of the best sneaker collaborations of the year, copping the Overkill x adidas ZX8000 'No Walls Needed' Pack won't be easy, and it will only be available at Overkill’s Berlin location on November 2nd. To add to the exclusivity, only 1989 pairs will be available, so you'll need plenty of connections if you want a pair!
