This autumn, adidas and Yohji Yamamoto are set to draw an end to their "20 Years: Recoded" series, an initiative that celebrates adidas' fashion-forward Y-3 line. As part of the festivities, Y-3 and London skate imprint Palace have now joined forces to produce a fresh selection of goods, reinterpreting some of Y-3's most iconic silhouettes.
Combining the rebellious spirit of Y-3 and Palace's tongue-in-cheek approach to humour, this latest collection aims to put a spin on legacy design through a selection of apparel, footwear and accessories. For the campaign itself, both parties have tapped French footballing icon Zinedine Zidane, alongside French skate royalty Lucas Puig to deliver a playful but stylish campaign.
Accompanying the release, we also see a short film that showcases a “charismatic tête-à-tête” or a "charismatic one-on-one" for non-French speakers. The short film explores the motion behind both athletes' respective sports against a modern backdrop.
So far, we see previews of stylish matching tracksuits, complete with adidas' iconic 3-Stripe signatures, Y-3 logos and a large Palace rose-themed back print. For those looking to get their hands on this upcoming collection, it will release both in-store at Palace and online on the adidas Confirmed app. In other fashion news, Supreme x New York Yankees reunite for an iconic celebration of the Big Apple.
