In case you hadn’t already noticed, the Air Jordan 2 is having a moment right now. Not only has the style recently enjoyed Virgil Abloh’s seal of approval on the Off-White Jordan 2, but now Los Angeles boutique Union LA are set to collab with the Jordan Brand on a second pair, following the images of the "Grey Fog" iteration that were revealed last month. Now, images of the Union LA x Air Jordan 2 "Rattan" have been doing the rounds, so let’s take a look at the early preview of the sneaker.
Constructed from a mix of hardwearing nylon and premium suede, the "Rattan" Union LA AJ2 follows much of the same make-up as its blue-hued counterpart. Beige-coloured nylon makes up the toe box and ankle collars, with the latter decorated with embroidered circles for added texture. Elsewhere, earthy grey-brown suede panels sweep across the shoe’s overlays, whilst a hint of copper-orange peeks out from underneath. UNLA branding features on the eyestays, and a co-branded tab is tacked onto the ankle collar. A vintage-looking Nike Air midsole rounds off the design.
Like the "Grey Fog" colourway, the "Rattan" Union LA x Nike Air Jordan 2 is set to release sometime in 2022, so keep it locked to The Sole Supplier for more info and images as they come in.
