It's been a huge year for PUMA. The German giant recently posted their best-ever quarter in sales and profit, even outperforming rivals like adidas and Nike!
In the first quarter of 2019, PUMA sales rose to €1.32 billion, which far exceeded analyst's expectations of €1.3 billion. This is largely due to their every-growing demand especially in the North American market, and their line-up of chunky sneakers that that have graced everyone's collections. They also didn't run into any issues with their supply chain, unlike the Three Stripes that cost them a whopping €200 to €400 million earlier this year.
“The first quarter of 2019 was the best quarter PUMA has ever seen,” explained PUMA CEO Bjorn Gulden. “Even if we have nine more months to go and despite a lot of uncertainty in the market, we feel comfortable that we will achieve our guidance for the full year.”
Over the past few months, PUMA has been collaborating with a ton of brands including Motorola, Hot Wheels, and MTV. These partnerships have been met with critical acclaim, with sneakerheads wanting more and more.
