PUMA is the king of unconventional collabs. After teaming up with Polaroid and Hasbro, the German sneaker giant has now tapped Mattel for a Hot Wheels themed collaboration, and it's nostalgic to say the least.
Celebrating the toy brand's 50th anniversary, the sneaker references the brand's important birthday with yellow detailing on the tongue. Building on the RS-X silhouette, the sneaker features a mixed-material upper in black, which is contrasted with bright blue and yellow panels and detailing, inspired by Hot Wheels' Bone Shaker toy car from 2006.
Set to release in the very near future, let us know what you think of the PUMA x Hot Wheels RS-X collab down in the comments below! In related news, PUMA recently unveiled the RS-X Reinvention silhouette.
