Long time adidas collaborator Raf Simons unveiled his latest Three Stripes collection during his Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2019 showcase. Aptly dubbed the 'Trompe L'oeil' pack, the Belgian designer reworks the iconic Stan Smith model as three other famous adidas archive silhouettes, namely the Micropacer, the L.A. Trainer, and the Torsion Conquest Super.
Giving the illusion that the Stan Smith is actually one of the three retro models, Simons' name is embossed on the heel, while Stan Smith branding graces the back. Each silhouette's name is printed onto the lateral sides, while faux detailing, such as the Micropacer's pedometer, the L.A. Trainer's mesh toebox, and the Torsion Conquest Super's perforated design also appear, mimicking the originals.
Set to pre-launch exclusively at Tom Greyhound, Paris, the adidas by Raf Simons Stan Smith 'Trompe L'oeil' collection will get a wider release in April.
