Raffles Live: Leisurewear Peaks With The END. x New Balance 'Art of Nothing' XC-72s

Coming in two muted, monochromatic colourways, the XC-72 sees the arrival of new iterations as part of a collaboration with END. Clothing. It's not the first time the Boston-based brand have teamed up with this retailer, but this has to be one of our favourite collaborations yet. If you're looking to upgrade your sneaker rotation with something that's effortlessly cool and guaranteed to add a relaxed vibe to any outfit, then these END. x New Balance XC-72s, as part of the collection affectionately nicknamed 'Art of Nothing', will definitely tick those boxes.

Using luxe materials and a timeless colour palette, these premium XC-72s use white, grey and gum to the best of their abilities. The large 'N' logo on the lateral sidewall of the "Natural Gum" colourway comes in grey, with the toe cap, eyelets and heel appearing in the same soft and supple suede, this time in an off-white, or "Angora", hue.

The body of this iteration comes constructed from breathable mesh, whilst the spiky, extended midsole comes in a matching "Sail" colouring, which NB have aptly named "Natural Gum".

The second iteration breaks up the muted colour scheme with the addition of a "Gum" outsole that extends up the toe box and acts as a mudguard in true XC-72 fashion. Whilst we saw mesh used on the body of the previous sneaker, this edition features an entirely suede upper, with "Marblehead" grey accents brightening up the toe box and heel. Branding at the top of the tongue follows suit in the same earthy tone.

Updating the 1970s design with a pleasing colourway that suits the styles and trends of 2022, END. x New Balance take athleisure to the limit by creating not one, but two of the most aesthetically pleasing XC-72s to date. And whilst the pair are extremely attractive, they also provide unrivalled comfort thanks to the EVA-cushioned midsole.
