After the mixed reviews surrounding the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 KO Low "White Cream" from earlier this year, many of us were left wondering when the Air Jordan 1 KO Low silhouette would make its return. Turns out, we won't have to wait too long as the Jumpman brand has now readied its new "Bred" edition.
Released back in '85, the KO line was a more affordable alternative to the regular numbered Air Jordan range, with canvas construction and the removal of the Air unit significantly reducing construction costs. Seen as somewhat of an outlier amongst the Jordan Brand arsenal, could the Air Jordan 1 KO Low "Bred" be the silhouette that finally sways the opinion of hardcore fans of the brand?
As the name suggests, the "Bred" utilizes both black and red hues atop canvas paneling, delivering a robust yet stylish finish. A suede Swoosh adorns the lateral and medial walls, with a unique "AJKO" Wings insignia at the heel. Finally, the removal of "Air" from the tongue label signifies the absence of Air technology in the shoe. No official release date has been set yet for this silhouette, but rumors are suggesting a July 1st release. In other footwear news, the Crenshaw Skate Club x Nike SB Dunk Low arrives with griptape-like overlays.
