The past and the present collide with the future this season with the brand new Air Jordan 11 Adapt "White". Taking the classic silhouette and giving it a contemporary rework, Michael Jordan's latest and greatest AJ11 has been infused with the Beaverton brand's power-lacing tech, and it's set for lift-off tomorrow on December 30th at 8am!
Done up in a pristine white palette, the upper of the "White" takes on the OG Air Jordan 11 complete with patent leather panels and "23"-adorned heel pieces, but the rest of the design has been re-imagined from the ground up. Gone is the standard ballistic mesh and in its place is a translucent TPE that shows off the inner working of the shoe, including the black eyestays. These twelve ribbon-like elements are attached to a series of thin tensile laces that relax and tighten using Adapt technology.
Following in the footsteps of other Nike self-lacing sneakers such as the Adapt Huarache and the Adapt BB 2.0, this one features a motor that's built into the icy Air midsole. Two buttons let you adjust the shoe with ease, but it also works with your smartphone and smartwatch as well. To charge them, they come with a wireless base where you just set your shoes on top and they'll get juiced up instantly.
Set to launch tomorrow on December 30th at 8am, the Nike Air Jordan 11 Adapt "White" may not be for everyone, but it's a definite must-have in our eyes. Let us know if you'll be adding a pair to your collection, and in related news, the Air Jordan 3 "Cool Grey" from 2007 is making a comeback!
