As if out of nowhere, former WWE legend Ric Flair has just announced that he has signed with adidas, stating that he's going to “take down Nike” and turn Air Jordan into "Air Flair";. While he's certainly no stranger when it comes to sneakers, this is his first endorsement deal with a major industry player.
In an impromptu interview with TMZ Sports, he explained, "Ready for the good news? adidas thinks I'm 'The Man.' I signed a deal with them, and we're fixin' to make Nike the second brand, OK?"; Flair then followed up this announcement with a tweet, adding the "#AdidasStrong"; hashtag for good measure.
What could The Black Scorpion be working on? Will he be releasing a collection of wrestling-inspired sneakers or a range of apparel coloured in the palette of his signature robes? Nothing has been confirmed just yet, but if you want to find out more on the Ric Flair x adidas collaboration, make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more news as it develops! Wooooo!
