Sneaker collabs have long existed within the sneaker scene, but this year it’s looking like three-way efforts are the latest trend. While Nike has rolled out imagery of its Dunk collab with both fragment design and CLOT, adidas is next to respond by joining forces with Ronnie Fieg and Clarks, for what’s set to be one of the most interesting link ups of the year.
Originally teased by Fieg over on Twitter, the KITH Creative Director posted a couple of upcoming collaborative takes on Clarks’ iconic Wallabee, though sneakerheads were left reeling when he revealed a co-branded hangtag that also featured adidas’ Trefoil logo.
KITH had also dropped its Spring 2023 lookbook, and eagle-eyed viewers were able to spot what looked to be a Samba with a Wallabee-style crepe sole underfoot. Finally, Fieg confirmed the collab over on Instagram, with a series of photos that gave us a closer look at what's to come.
Speaking on the collaboration, Fieg said "Not a better feeling in the world than bringing like minded people together. The good people at Clarks and adidas made this all possible. They trusted me to bring this crazy idea to life…"
The collaborative Sambas come crafted from the same buttery soft suede used for Clarks' Wallabees, alongside the same A-Grade crepe sole fans will already know and love. Other details include minimalist debossed branding, and premium leather detailing on the Stripes and heel tabs.
Arriving in three colourways, the 8th Street Samba is now available for pre-order over at KITH. Hit the link to grab your pair, and then don't forget to check out KITH's exclusive new New Balance colourway.
