When it comes to NB collaborations, Ronnie Fieg is definitely no stranger to them. With that said, the latest KITH x New Balance "Steel Blue" Collection may just be one of his best ones yet. First teased earlier this month, the "five-shoe pack" is making its debut with two iconic silhouettes, including the New Balance 992 and the New Balance 998.
Decked out in nothing but the finest of materials, both models are crafted from dark grey suede and clean white leather, all overlaid atop of light blue mesh base. New Balance's signature "N" logo graces the lateral and medial side panels, fully embracing the vintage vibe that we all know and love.
While they both look pretty similar from the outset, the main differences lie within their respective midsoles. For instance, the 992 opts for GEL tech, while the 998 utilises a full ABZORB unit that's as comfortable as it gets. To round it all off, both shoes are proudly emblazoned with "Made in the USA" embroidery on the tongue, finishing off the understated designs.
Set to release this weekend exclusively through the KITH webstore, the KITH x New Balance "Steel Blue" Collection will also be continuing with the New Balance 990v2 and the New Balance 997 later in the year. Let us know if you'll be adding a pair to your rotation, and while you're here, get up close with the KITH x Nike Air Force 1 "University Red"!
