For the most part of the year, things have seemed a little quiet on Ronnie Fieg’s end, but as we’ve moved into the later months it’s clear that he’s been busy behind the scenes. Very recently, Fieg shared an early look at KITH’s upcoming ASICS styles, and shortly after that, he was named Creative Director of the New York Knicks. Now, the Queens-born designer has offered up another peek at one of his upcoming projects: a collaborative New Balance 2002R and 993, in a dreamy “Pistachio” shade.
Teased over on Instagram, Fieg introduced both silhouettes in a post that was simply captioned “Black Friday,” suggesting that a release is on the cards very soon. Peeking closely at the shoes, you’ll notice that the 993 arrives in its usual mesh and suede make-up, while the 2002R comes in a full-suede build, and that this time they’ve both been given a tonal, pastel green makeover - arguably 2022s hottest colour. You’ll also notice that any co-branding seems to be kept to a minimum, letting great design do the talking instead.
If Fieg’s caption is anything to go by, it's likely that these will land at KITH on the 25th of November, but be sure to keep it locked to The Sole Supplier for news of a wider release.
Up next, JJJJound prepares its upcoming New Balance 990v3.
