After launching its highly sought-after collaboration with Italian fashion imprint Stone Island, Supreme is back and this time ready to touch upon its artistic side. For Spring 2022, Supreme has collaborated with Roy DeCarava to showcase some of the artist's most acclaimed and influential work.
For those unfamiliar with Roy DeCarava, he was an acclaimed black American artist and an integral founding part of various photography movements referenced to this day. His work engaged and imagined the lives of African-American communities and Jazz Musicians from the '50s through to the '80s, providing an artistic approach to social storytelling.
The collection itself is made up simply of a hoodie and two T-Shirts, each of which arrives with Supreme's extensive selection of hues. For one of the T-Shirts and the hoodie, we see a print of Malcolm X that was taken in 1964. With a black and white appearance, this T-Shirt shows a stoic and powerful image of the African-American civil rights leader.
The second T-Shirt displays a woman with an intense stare, appearing somewhat dejected with what she's looking at. For those looking to cop this Roy DeCarava x Supreme Spring 2022 collection, it will be available both in-store and online on Thursday the 19th of May. In other fashion news, adidas x Juventus embrace geometric style for its 2022/23 home kit.
