In recent times we've seen an odd increase in high fashion and gaming brands collaborating, and it looks like we might just be getting started. Following Balenciaga x Fortnite and Balenciaga x Playstation , it seems there might be a new contender on the block as rumours of a Gucci x Xbox collaboration spread.
The rumour first started from a jovial Twitter interaction between the two brands as @xbox wrote, "Saying ‘GG’ at the end of every game will never go out of fashion" and @gucci replied, "We couldn’t agree more". Any fans of the Italian fashion house will realise that "GG" is of course one of the brand's unique motifs, which further adds fuel to the fire.
Proceeding this interaction, the CEO of 100Thieves @Nadeshot (Mattew Haag) took to Twitter to tweet what seems to be a trunk of some kind bearing both Gucci's and Xbox's logos respectively. The trunk is dressed in iconic monogram print with yellow and green hues working in contrast. It's worth noting that gaming crew 100Thieves x Gucci first joined forces last summer for a collaborative backpack , so this seemingly legitimises the photos.
With neither Gucci nor Xbox announcing the collaboration just yet, we're unsure when things may be dropping, or if at all. So, remember to keep it locked in for all the latest! In other news, Supreme x Tiffany & Co. launch a luxury range of goods for Fall 2021 .
