After becoming one of the biggest highlights to come out of Paris Fashion Week in January, we've now got our first official look at the upcoming sacai x Carhartt WIP FW23 collaboration. Experimenting with Carhartt WIP's workwear DNA, this collection looks to build upon familiar silhouettes, reinterpreting them in a way only sacai can.
Blending the best of both worlds, this collaboration looks to use Chitose Abe's knack for fabric and layered design atop some of Carhartt's most recognisable pieces. Included in the mix, we see both women's and men's garments, each arriving with a white and black co-branded patch logo.
From a colour palette perspective, deep black and beiges look to belong to the regular Carhartt WIP stable, but this time they're backed up by a tasteful selection of baby blue pieces. These pieces look to be crafted from a heavyweight knit material, ideal for the cooler portion of the year.
Other standouts include the reinterpretation of Carhartt's chore jacket. While its template remains true to the original, this latest piece boasts additional contrasting pockets, an oversized liner and additional buttons.
For those looking to get their hands on any of the pieces from sacai x Carhartt WIP's FW23 efforts, it will be available from selected retailers from September 8th. In other fashion news, Stone Island embraces the art of subtlety with its AW23 Stellina collection.
