Salehe Bembury's New Balance 1906R Collaboration Turns Up the Heat

Article updated 9/1/24: Just weeks after the reveal of Salehe Bembury's latest New Balance collab and we've already received a major update. According to the man himself, the aptly named "HEAT BE HOT" New Balance 1906R collaboration will be launching this week.

Consisting of those two fiery colourways, the "HEAT BE HOT" pack has captured the attention of New Balance fans everywhere, so many will be glad to learn they will launch this week on the 11th of January. As frequent collaborators, New Balance and Salehe Bembury are no strangers to each other's design language. Having released some of the most coveted New Balance colourways and silhouettes in recent years, the pair have now readied their latest collaborative effort in the form of two new 1906R colourways.

While the official reveal came yesterday directly from Salehe's Instagram, we have previously seen these pairs leak earlier in the year. With a caption reading "Heat Be Hot," this no doubt alludes to the fiery aesthetic seen on each pair.

Our first rendition sees a yellow hue gradually gradient into a deep red tint. Atop this, we see metallic silver overlays, backed up by an orange rendition of the brand's famed "N" logo. Its counterpart embraces an almost Spider-Man-like pairing of vibrant red mesh and metallic blue overlays on top. It's unclear at this time just when we can expect these pairs to land, but we can't help but feel summer would be the ideal time to rock these.
