Only earlier this summer, Salomon extended its XT range with a Kith collaboration. And, now, just a few weeks later, the brand has announced that it will be releasing the silhouette as part of its mainline collection.

The Salomon XT-EVO, reimagines the XT-6 through a bolder design inspired by racing. “Built for those who embrace the unknown,” the brand says. The shoe reworks the XT-6 silhouette through sharper proportions, layering and flowing waves that create a “dynamic sense of movement”, Salomon says, keeping the signature XT jumbo mesh but also adding liquid rubber overlays to add dimension. The shoe will be coming out in three colourways: all black, red/black and white/grey – a nice nod to the XT-6 original colourways.

XT-EVO features Salomon’s signature Agile Chassis System – a stability technology which delivers cushioning, durability, underfoot control and energy return across different terrains.

Considering the generational run that Salomon has had and how popular previous XT silhouettes (such as the XT-6 and the XT-Whisper) have been – we might be looking at the next it-sneaker.
