Article Updated 29th December 2025: There we have it, the first look at one of the many Pokémon x adidas sneakers has finally been revealed. Courtesy of @zx__sneakers__berlin, we can take a look at the Pokémon x adidas ZX8000 Lavender.
Decked out in dreamy shades of lilac and soft pink, the ZX8000 silhouette gets a psychic-type makeover, complete with piercing eye graphics and a nostalgic Pokémon logo on the tongue. A Master Ball lace jewel adds the final collector’s touch.
Here's a closer look at what the Pokémon x adidas ZX 8000 Mewtwo Lavender is going to look like and take a moment to set a notification so you don't miss your chance to get hold of the collab once it's released.
Original Article: Pokémon celebrates its 30th anniversary next year, and if the whispers are accurate, we are in for a proper treat. Rumour has it that the franchise is joining forces with adidas to mark the occasion, bringing us a new footwear and apparel collection.
While exact details remain under wraps, early leaks suggest the collection will spotlight some of the franchise’s most iconic characters, reimagined through classic adidas silhouettes - We're still awaiting confirmation of whether each of these pairs will come with a promo card but we think the collab is perfect for trainers who grew up on both Pokémon and adidas.
Industry insiders suggest this isn't just a small drop; we can expect pieces for both kids and adults. The news sparking the most excitement among us trainer enthusiasts, however, concerns the two silhouettes tipped for the collection: the Samba and the Superstar.
Seeing the Samba and the Superstar is hardly a surprise. Both are undisputed classics, and their universal appeal makes them perfect canvases for a collaboration with a global phenomenon like Pokémon.
Catering to both the original fans and a new generation is a smart move, ensuring this release has broad appeal. By the way, if you want to stay on top of this developing story, just download The Sole Supplier app.
This wouldn't be the first time these two giants have worked together. The duo gave us a pixel themed capsule of clothing and footwear back in 2020. That previous effort shows adidas knows how to translate the iconic characters into wearable street gear. Considering Pokémon’s massive cultural influence, which started with game creator Satoshi Tajiri's idea almost thirty years ago and remains potent today, the appetite for this new collection is huge. Over the past year, the search for Pokémon cards has risen by 113% online!
Now, neither The Pokémon Company nor adidas has officially confirmed this joint venture, so we must wait patiently. However, the reports suggest we should anticipate the collection landing during the second half of 2026. Keep following The Sole Supplier as we bring more updates on this news and more.
