If you ask any sneakerhead what the best sneaker of 2018 was, the chances are, they'll say the Sean Wotherspoon x Nike Air Max 97/1. Simple yet striking, the hybrid was inspired by the mix and match aesthetics of thrift stores. Now, the Round Two proprietor and sneaker collector has taken to Instagram to flex his next Nike collab, and it's striking to say the least.
Dubbed the 'London', Wotherspoon builds on the iconic Nike Air Max 1 for this release. Featuring a “removable overcoat” crafted from materials by Harris Tweed, this is securely in place via a red button located on the tongue tab. The shoe itself is painted in a bold yellow, with contrasting blue insoles and a partially stitched Swoosh. A removable USA flag on the left and a UK flag on the right insole have also been added for a patriotic vibe.
Right now, the Sean Wotherspoon x Nike Air Max 1 'London' is a one-of-one pair, that being said, it could end up going into production in the very near future. Let us know if you'd cop down in the comments below! In related news, the Off-White x Nike Air Max 90 'Black' has a potential release date!
