Size? Celebrates 25 Years with a Story-Heavy Air Max 90

What happens when the UK’s most iconic sneaker retailer hits a major milestone? If you guessed a special Air Max 90 drop, you’re spot on. Today, the Size? x Nike Air Max 90 "White Soft Pearl" has surfaced online, and it’s already turning heads for all the right reasons.

This project is a celebration of heritage, community and sneaker culture wrapped into one tastfully textured silhouette. Using a similar concept to the one the retailer used on its 2020 Air Max 95 edition, this collaboration looks outside Size?'s library of Nike projects for inspiration.

Straight away, your eyes are drawn to the translucent Swoosh, a semi-clear cassette logo, and a throwback Nike heel tab that revives the rarely seen Swoosh branding not used since the early Blazer editions. Size?’s signature orange makes a bold appearance on the tongue, while the inner sidewall nods to the Lunar version of the AM90 — a lowkey grail among long-time fans of the line.

Up front, you’ll find soft perforated suede along the vamp, layered with zig zag stitching across the mudguard for a handcrafted feel. Spare laces are included, a set of vivid orange with a subtle 3M thread allowing you match the signature Size?-orange accents. But the most intriguing detail? Flip the shoe over and you’ll find a handful of style codes etched into the outsole, each pointing to a classic Air Max 90 moment in time.

Among them are 346115-191 (Dizzee Rascal’s "Tongue n' Cheek"), 310766-161 (DQM Bacon), 543361-161 (Infrared Vintage), AA7293-100 (Off-White’s 2017 release), and CI6394-100 (Mixtape “A Side” from 2019). These aren’t just a meaningless flex, they directly inspire the design choices seen on the upper, from colour palettes to material choices and layout.

Size? has built its name on thoughtful collaborations, from its revered adidas City Series to Nike exclusives that consistently raise the bar. With its 25th anniversary underway, this leak confirms that the retailer is not just revisiting the past, it’s rewriting it with purpose.

While there is no confirmed release date or retail price just yet, all signs point to a launch toward the end of the year.
