Skechers Sales Exceed $1 Billion Thanks To The Chunky Sneaker Trend

When we think of chunky sneakers, we probably think of the Balenciaga Triple S and the Yeezy Boost 700, and we seldom think of Skechers even though they’re entire product range is filled to the brim with dad shoes. That said, this didn’t stop the American lifestyle and performance footwear company from having its biggest year in sales to date, with a total annual revenue of a whopping $4.64 billion!

With sales of $1.08 billion during the fourth quarter of 2018, shares for the company increased by 16% thanks to the fad. In an official press release, Chief Operating Officer David Weinberg explained that the imprint also shipped a “record number of pairs from [their] distribution centres across South America, North America, Japan and Europe.”
