Forget the “New Balance in blue” – as the South East London-native artist sings in her song “Family Matters”. The new JD collection features three exclusive colourways: we’re getting a burgundy and light purple colourway that’s perfect for spring, a crisp tonal grey, and a mocha-brown hue that can work with any outfit.
The retro-inspired low-profile 204L takes on the slim structure of a ‘70s runner and brings it to a tech-inspired premium suede, synthetic and mesh texture – fusing the past with the present in a silhouette that feels unapologetically timeless. Its sleek design with the arced line details on the overlay make this shoe bold yet effortless. And you can really see that through the campaign. The new campaign, starring Skye and shot in the streets of New York by an all-female crew, really showcases the singer’s sporty-chic personal style and reflects the enduring appeal of this instantly classic silhouette.
The 22-year-old London creative only came out with her debut single “Hairdresser” last year, but has been making waves in the music industry – with upcoming live shows in the UK and Europe, and a new single, “Woman I Am”, coming out on April 9th. And this JD campaign cements that she is here to stay.
The JD x New Balance 204L in red/purple and grey are out now, you can cop at JD here. The 204L brown will be dropping soon.
