What would you do to cop your grail? Well, for one sneakerhead, they were so desperate for a pair of Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Low 'Purple Lobster' that they paid a cool $10,000 for the sneakers.
Following the footsteps of the previous quickstrike colours, the 'Purple Lobster' features SB padding around its lining and ankle, and details across the upper like the lacquered splatter and stacked Swooshes. Inside the shoe, a tartan print offers an interesting design choice, while a claw-strap finishes off the next iteration of one of the cleanest, most thematic SB collaborations ever.
According to The Berrics' online Canteen store, which released the sneaker via raffle on December 14th, the 'Purple Lobster' was uploaded to the Canteen web store with a price set at $9,999.99 as a placeholder. Much to the store's surprise, someone actually decided to bypass the raffle and straight up buy the placeholder for the full amount, plus an extra $956.98 in taxes and shipping costs.
If you could, would you do this for your holy grail? Let us know down in the comment section below! In related news, Travis Scott was recently spotted flexing the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk Lo 'Green Lobster'!
