The latest campaign images for the Sporty and Rich x adidas Originals SL72 capsule have been unveiled, highlighting its Olympic inspired colourways. This collection reimagines the classic Three Stripes model.
Sporty and Rich has introduced three new collaborative adidas Originals silhouettes. Founder Emily Oberg has finally released official images of the blue and yellow sneakers, paying homage to her Swedish heritage. Additionally, two more colourways for the SL72 will be dropping.
Sporty and Rich has become one of adidas' key collaborators over the past year, significantly contributing to the resurgence of the adidas Samba. With many colourways already launched, their influence is expanding beyond this iconic sneaker.
adidas is spotlighting the SL72 as their next lifestyle focus, and this collaboration allows Sporty and Rich to explore new creative avenues with this silhouette. The collection starts with a twist on the classic "Utility Yellow" colourway, replacing the bright yellow with a softer hue and switching the leather interior for silk.
The "Yellow on Blue" version offers a reversed colour scheme, while the "Mint Rush" colourway stands out with its off white accents, reminiscent of Charlotte Hornets colours. The design features a collaborative spell out in white and heavy cotton laces for a retro look. Soft suede overlays on the heel, mudguard, and toe complete the traditional silhouette.
Similar to previous Samba editions, the SL72 includes a silk like interior lining, along with padded tongues bearing a woven label, differing from the standard nylon tongue.
All three Sporty and Rich x adidas Originals SL72 pairs will be available on 26th November via adidas CONFIRMED, priced at £100 each. Are these about to become the crown jewels of your collection? Which colourway catches your eye?
